A few months back in September my good friends Lucas, Victor, & plenty of others came up with the idea to make their way over to Fort Myers & help out however they could after the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian.

Without any hesitation, I quickly cancelled whatever I had going on those days & told Luc I wanted to tag along to come help.

At first, I didn't want to bring my camera because it just didn't feel like the right kind of moment to take pictures of... but then I felt the need to share my experience & what I saw, simply because I knew a lot of us wouldn't ever witness anything like this.

My job as a photographer is to capture memories & I take pride in the joyful ones... but I also feel it's my duty to also document the not so happy but important moments to make sure we don't forget them & also how blessed we are to wake up everyday surrounded by the ones we love.

Just want to thank the homies for letting me tag along to be part of such a beautiful cause, the residents of Fort Myers for being so gracious & allowing us to enter their space after such a traumatic experience, & to those who support my journey because without you... I'm simply taking pictures only for them to stay on my dusty old hard drive... so thank you!
